Yeahp! New section! :D

This time was while walking at the street, sometimes you watch at the street things that are nice, funny, strange, weird or even sad, you feel like sharing them and now that I´m with the “chip” of taking out the camera asap as far west holster ;P I thought… that´s it! New section for the blog! :D

As I said in the previous paragraph, I had been so loyal with the principle of this blog of sharing with you some of the things I enjoy the life with, having just few exceptions like what happened with the tours in Margarita Island or with the bill at the Termas Pallares Spa, but in this section sometimes I´ll place no positive things if I feel it´s needed to talk about something like that, and well, maybe a bit of claim time to time won´t be that bad or even due sometimes even at sad moments you find a reason why to smile a bit.

My gadgets and other thingamajigs! Introduction.

In the summer of 2008 I had the pleasure and honor to have at home several of my Scrabble friends. The whole story really deserves its own posts! But the point is that they freaked out with my gadgets and other thingamaigs ... yeah! I must admit it! I'm a gadgets fan! : D

So! New section! I´ll talk about my gadgets and other thingamajigs that are curious and/or very practical, many of them are for being use at the kitchen, but don´t be surprised to find nonsense things with not practical uses ... but that made a "click" on me once I saw them! : D

In the weekend I mentioned, Gloria named me as “lady gadgets”… yeaph, I am! ;P

I Love my Nails! Introduction.

Having nice nails is something I started with when I was 14.

There´s something that people that met me after coming to live to Spain don´t know: from my 20 to my 30 I was a makeup fan. Actually I had work in an important beauty products company where I learned to make up professionally. It happened that Curro, my husband, doesn´t like the makeup, so I stopped using it… you have no idea how much I save per year due that! ;P On the other hand, I discovered the pleasure of using makeup just for special situations… I love to look completely different in parties and other occasions! :D

What I kept doing was to take care about my nails and from some years ago it also includes nail art. It was exactly trying to find where to buy Konad products that I discovered there are several webs and blogs just talking about makeup and nail art. Actually I had already experience how helpful is to find other girls that share they tricks about using but also where to buy products… so I decided to open a new section in my blog for talking about nail art! :D (Don´t worry boys, it won´t be more than a post per week I think!) ;P

So, in this new section I´ll talk about how to take care of your nails, nail art, where to buy products, I´ll share my own designs, I´ll give advice based on my own experience and time to time I´ll maybe include some makeup products or advices.

My photos. Introduction.

Yeap! A new section! : D

Just as the music goes with me all day (and often much of the night too), I have on my laptop a gadget to display photos. It becomes like a digital photo frame embedded in a corner of my laptop, where it shows randomly the pictures I have, a matter of 7 seconds each.

Just as there are songs that "click on me" more than others, same thing happens with the photos and there are times when I one, due the beauty of the place or the moment it is reminding me, leaves me especially excited to see it ... and I decided to share them with you!

I don´t want to commit myself to put a different photo every day, I don´t want the same thing happens later with the songs that not always I have time to place everything that passed through my mind on the blog, but I will put those photos I am thrilled to see them specially. I'll put them, no matter if the photo is related or unrelated to the thread of the narrative I´m on at that time.

Today´s song. Introduction.

I´m interrupting my story for a moment to introduce you a new section.

As I said at the post “music gives me life” I love music!

I usually have music at the background the whole day, as far as it´s possible, of course.

I usually have a song around my mind for one or 2 days, a song that if it´s played at the radio I should have to give it more volume, or if it´s a CD I´ll play it again at least once. Usually are songs that I like but time to time also happens with songs I don´t like.

I thought it could be a good idea to share with you more or less daily the special song for that day to me. I´ll try, but I don´t promise to do it always, to place a video, the song lyric, the translation in case it´s in Spanish and comments about why I like the song, the memories it gives me back and how I feel listening to it.

I give special importance to the lyric, because I think there are so many people all over the world singing or humming songs with no idea of what it says and you see, not all the songs you like the music, have a nice or good words on it.

I usually like the whole: music plus lyrics.

So, from now on, no matter what I´m already talking about, time to time I´ll include a post for this section.

Special recipes. Introduction.

Yeap, I know, having that maaaanyyy webs with recipes now, why should I have recipes in my blog as well? Well, first of all, if I should think like that about travels, for example, there wouldn´t be a blog from Igotita at all! :D

This is an idea from our New Year Eve celebration in León. 10 people sharing a flat, a lot of board games having Scrabble as a king, with a tourney on between, city tours, a lot of laughs and good vibes… and excellent food every day! The clue was that, without planning, each person was responsible for giving us a sample one or more of our culinary specialties and it was a complete success!

The idea of having the recipes at the blog came from the typical “give me the recipe!” that usually goes to nowhere. So I thought: “not anymore!” heheheh “we´ll place them at the blog so we all, but also our friends and even other people we still don´t know could also enjoy our creations!” :D

For the professional chefs Reading this posts: even being amateur recipes, they are as good as for being in a good restaurant menu, so, feel free of using them but please at least give a small mention to the author and a small comment at the blog! :D ;P

Hi world! : )

I´m Ivette, from Guatemala, living in Madrid.

I love life and our world. I love simple things like a small flower but also more complex ones like a helicopter tour in Iguazú Falls or a Scrabble Tourney.

I´m lucky because I had been able to do so many and so different things in my life, like visiting several countries, and always I give myself time to do something interesting everywhere I go. So I have a lot of funny stories and recommendations to share… that fare my friends encouraged me to start a blog and share with the rest of the world as well! ; )

So, here I am, willing to give at least something different to read to you.
